Not sure what will be covered in this, but it might be worth tuning into the forthcoming special on ABC, "Peter Jennings Reporting--How to Get Fat Without Really Trying." The Center for Science in the Public Interest's Mike Jacobson and Margo Wootan were both interviewed for this special, which looks at how government policies and food industry practices are helping to exacerbate the obesity epidemic. It airs at 8:00 p.m. EST on Monday, December 8. Just wanted to let everyone know about it. Like I said, I don't know if MSG and excitoxins will be covered, but... |

Just watched the ABC special. It addressed among other things processed foods - the marketing of unhealthy foods to children and government subsidies of food like corn which is used to make food cheaper, e.g. high fructose corn syrup. Glad to see something like this - it's a start. |
