Apparently, gastric reflux is on the rise. We had earlier discussions about how glutamate induces histamine response. Histamine actually makes reflux worse. I wonder if they found reflux and cancers occured more in people who drank diet soda, because half of aspartame can be converted to glutamate in only one step. Or if they even considered the fact that large amounts of soda often accompany fast food meals loaded with MSG. Doubt it...... That would be actually scientific.....
