Here's our opportunity to make a difference! I just read an aritcle in the new February Better Homes and Gardens magazine on Migraine headaches. It's on page 90 and is written by Richard Sowienski, the Education and Parenting editor.
I'm not sure if this is the right address, there are so many!
Better Homes and Gardens Magazine
P.O. Box 37429
Boone, Iowa 50037-0429... or go to
www.bhg.com/help if you have questions regarding the magazine.
They made a false statement about MSG when listing it as a possible diet culprit for headaches. They called it a "preservative". It is not. It is a flavor enhancer and its role as an excitatory neurotransmitter is what makes foods taste better but is also the reason many of us suffer from headaches. This is an excellent "in" for a response from us. If LOTS of us respond with this correction, (politely, of course) citing any of the books, sites or authors, Better Homes and Gardens may print a correction, as they often do. Be sure to thank them for mentioning MSG (since you know how sick it makes you) and add what you can about MSG while being very brief. Just a brief correction would be seen by thousands, if not millions of people and they just might make the connection to their headaches. Don't be afraid of rejection. It is still worth a try, always. And the more responses they see to their mistake, they more likely they will be to correct it. Thanks!

A web site may help the process.

It would probaly allow more people to contact them.

Here is a Better Homes and Gardens contact page - maybe they would like to interview Deb about her book for BHG or one of their other magazines.
