Anyone have any feedback on erythritol? It is being used in a new brand of soda, Zevia, which is sweetened with stevia. Wikipedia has a write up on it, a sugar alcohol close to xylitol, which I don't consume.

Thank you for finding such good information, as always. I think I will just leave this alone due to the observed laxitive effect.

We do fine with erythritol and my son really likes the Zevias (though expensive). Erythritol is reputed to have a lot less of a laxative effect, if at all, but has a slight cooling effect. I do cook with it, but usually mix it half and half with coconut sugar, my current favorite sweetener.
