Do I need to rinse this:

365 brand (Whole Foods) Organic Long Grain White Rice grown in California.

Ingredients: organic long grain white rice.

In the nutritional facts area of the label, it says:

Vitamin A: 0%,
Vitamin C: 0%,
Calcium 2%,
Iron 2%

Thanks,
Mike

Seeing those pictures convinced me to abandon the white chinese rice noodles I've been buying at the asian grocery store.

I had a nagging sense that it wasn't smart to buy something where I couldn't call the mfg and ask questions.

Seeing those picture: yuck!

Seeing those gross pictures above, it now makes me wonder if by chance sulfites are used in the mfg of asian white rice noodles (as a whitening agent and/or preservative).

I've often wondered (and have not been able to find out) how rice noodles are actually manufactured.

And how is it exactly that they don't degrade and turn moldy? The packaging on many brands is hardly air-tight.

BTW, I read an interesting article on how exactly french fries are made: the potatoes are shot 50mph into stationary blades . Cool !!
