I have only found one bottled salad dressing in the past two years (since I started checking labels) that does not contain any hidden forms of free glutamate. The brand is Sis Meliss Garlic Vinaigrette Dressing & Marinade. It's a good, simple vinaigrette. Ingredients: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Red Wine Vinegar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Chopped Garlic, Onion Powder, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Sea Salt. I know some people on these forums are sulfite sensitive and have to avoid vinegar, so keep that in mind.

I love that it has olive oil instead of canola. I've been buying fat-free dressings to avoid canola (not because of MSG but because of PUFAs) and then adding my own olive oil or homemade creme freche.

Right now I have Annie's fat-free raspberry vinaigrette (had to refer to your picture to see how to spell that and unopened Bragg's Braggberry.
Darn, I just realized that my Bragg's Sesame Ginger has Bragg's aminos in it, which they list as "soy protein". I've never reacted to it (my sensitivity is a little less with regular supplements, and I rarely react to naturally fermented soy sauce without added protein) but I probably won't buy it again.

Sis Meliss is no longer in business as of Dec. 2012 - WAH! I found an organic Italian with Roasted Peppers Dressing from Simply Naturals. Ingredients: Water, org. soybean oil, org. white vinegar, org. sugar, org. roasted red pepper puree, org. roasted red peppers, salt, org. garlic pdr., org. minced garlic, org. red bell peppers, org. onion pdr., org. ground mustard seed, org. basil, org. crushed red chili peppers, org. black pepper, org. oregano, xanthan gum.
Sounds innocent enough although I would prefer to avoid soybean oil.
Anyone have any experience with this brand?

All of us are different in our tolerance but the Roasted Peppers Dressing you listed has at least five ingredients which make me, and some others in this chat room, sick- high in Free Glutamic Acid- soy oil, vinegar, garlic powder, minced garlic,and xanthan gum. I'd be down for about five days.

Hoteru, do you react to sulfites? Most of those aren't big glutamate sources in my opinion. Xanthan gum and vinegar perhaps, for those very sensitive.
That dressing would be fine for me, but I avoid all vegetable oils except olive and coconut, and homemade dressing is pretty easy to make. (I've Found the trick is to add a little bit of sugar. Homemade mayo also goes very well in salad dressing.) There are about a dozen recipes in Deb's book.
