We Americans had better start calling things like coffee, sugar, msg, what they are ...... DRUGS. When you have a migraine, try a cup of coffee. An upset stomach can be settled with fizzed out coke. What does this tell you??? We are dependent, and addicted only it's legal. It leads to bigger highs, then health problems, and even death. And the FDA tells us all is well. We had better do some reading of our own lest we become like the people of the last several decades who legally smoked and were popular. The joke is going to be on us. Try the book, Preventing and Reversing Osteoporosous for some fascinating tips on what we are doing to destroy our bones. Just think of our children drinking a can of soda with 8 tsps. of sugar in it plus a jolt. Then we wonder why we have so many problems and our children are so overweight. Wake up America.

Anonymous, I was shopping yesterday, and at the checkout stand, two girls not older than 7 begged the adult they were with for a drink from the nearby cooler. One grabbed a diet Coke and other a Mountain Dew. It just made me angry. Of course, the parent told them to grab her a Coke, too. If the sugar doesn't hurt them, the aspartame, MSG, artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, and caffeine will help do the job. Addictions come in many unhealthy forms.
