We are going to be spending a week in Kentucky (Louisville). What do you do when you can't make your own food since we will be staying in a hotel (Galt Hotel)? My dh's reaction to MSG is a Migraine headaches. WE know to avoid McDonalds and several other restaurants. However we can't cook in our rooms because there are no kitchens in them.

Holly, can you try to find a motel that contains a small kitchen? That is what we always do when we travel. It's not much more, cost wise. We look online for the neareat Whole Foods, or Fresh Fields, or Wild Oats, or Trader Joes, and pick up supplies there and at other markets.

I used to travel a lot and one of my first stops at my destination was a supermarket where I would stock up on safe foods I could eat in my room.
