Is Glutamine also neurotoxic? I found it as an ingredient in my multivitamins, and was wondering if that might be the cause of my itchy scalp. I stopped taking the pills for a few days and the itchiness went away.

Does glutamine contain free glutamic acid? From what I've read, the stomach changes glutamic acid into glutamine, so I'm trying to find out if glutamine itself is harmful as well.

Glutamine can also be converted into glutamate in the body. The body can chemically change amino acids.
