So, am back...and looking for more encouragment here Am piecing things together once again and have realized that some meals I ate in August that caused dizziness etc...were misdiagnosed as possible altitude problems (we traveled through the mountains). It caused my TMJ to flare up horribly and that led to this string of events...off to the dr. who prescribed 14 days of augmentin, then the dentist who did prednisone (only made it through 4 pills) and then on to ibuprofen (3 pills,3 times a day). My stomach ended up burning and torn up. My natural path wanted me to detox -- that about killed me so I stopped. She was certain I was FULL of yeast, maybe - but couldn't go the natural route on that one. I ended up taking a Diflucan for a yeast infection related to the antibiotics. That was back in late October or so. Anyhow, I've been trying to be very clean since all this, but have had some bumps in the road. I feel like my stomach has healed greatly ... but have now been reacting to CA grapes, potatoes (both non-organic and sprayed I presume with Auxigro). My tongue/mouth tingled again for probably 5 days and now today I feel like I have had overloads of caffeine - very anxious etc...is this just my body naturally detoxing from all this? I am not eating wheat or corn. Just organic meats, organic apples, organic frozen veggies, cod, small bits of mozzerella and organic eggs along with bottled water....please any thoughts???

PS...I think I may have reacted yesterday to the red food dye in the generic benedryl I have????

Shannon, cut out the eggs and see what happens. I have found no safe eggs lately and intend to get hens for my own safety. Do you know a farmer? Also, the organic meat can be dipped in a corn-derived citric acid solution. I read something about frozen veggies having corn treatments. Mozarella can be made from corn-derived vinegar, so that could be the problem, too.
I use pasture raised meat from a farm, fresh vegetables (no canned or frozen anymore), and no fish from the grocery store. I have tried eggs from pastured hens fed no corn or soy and they were great, but the farmer never had enough to meet demand. I have a list on here somewhere that lists safe sources.

Hi Shannon, so sorry for your troubles. I had trouble with eggs also after I believe Kristy mentioned that they may be a culprit for my mystery migraines, even when I thought I was eating safely. I found a nearby farmer and have tried his eggs. They are safe. I went back today and bought more. I cannot eat anything from California, I am even suspicious of avacodos from Mexico that say calvco on them. Afraid it means somthing about Cal. also. Go back to the beginning and try the brown rice and beans, fresh veg. and some people can use Forster Farms chicken, I use Bell and Evans. Maybe you can get that. I react to Organic marked veg. that are sold at our large grocery stores. I should have thought that big agri-business would get into organics, since so many of us need it. Do smaller stores, Whole Foods if you can and start to look up farms in your area on line. I was amazed at how many were around me. Today I am turning 65 and spent the day with my husband of 45 years visiting farms and setting up some nice new places to find safe food. I have been doing this for 2 and 1/2 years and it is paying off big time. Please keep the faith and tap us whenever you need to. Need to go now my fresh bought lobster dinner is now being served I hear. Keep a calender of all that you eat and it will help you to narrow down the offenders. My husband helps me by keeping track of it for me, he is much better at being organized than I am. Take care and be well Mariann

Thanks for all your good thoughts and suggestions. I am just wondering if my sensitivities are all of the sudden 'up' do to my stomach being so torn up by all the medication??? It seems my symptoms one week are different than the next. I am trying to keep the faith and decide what to do. My husband is of amazing support but he'd prefer that I stick to one thing and give it time...as I thought of trying an accupuncutist today. Really I went for nearly 2.5 years with very few issues, and it wasn't until after all the meds (including some natural meds that were supposed to help)that I have begun having such issue again...please keep your thoughts coming Any happy birthday Mariann!

My MSG reaction is stomach related and my stomach is very, very sensitive to medications. If I take antibiotics for 7 days, by the end of the 7 days I feel like I'm reacting to everything. I just need to give my stomach time to heal and I can get back to my regular diet.
I can only handle 200mg of Ibuprofen twice a day for 3 days until my stomach is so sore and I feel like I'm reacting to everything. So you could be right that all the medication have caused your stomach to become oversensitive and it just needs time to heal.
Hang in there. Keep a food journal and keep track of any progress that is made.
