Hypoglycemia runs in my family and lately I've been really tired and have felt week. When I have an MSG attack I take Taurine, but lately if I take even a small amount of taurine I feel like I'm going pass out and I get very thirsty. I also can't take Creatine for this reason. I need to find something that will counter act attacks and not cause me even more problems.

I've heard some take Benadryl as an anti-histimine at the time of the reaction but I myself haven't tried that....it can make you drowsy and if taken often can suppress one's immune system. I'd prefer a natural anti-histimine. I can't explain why an anti-histimine would help an msg reaction but for me my face would flush and get super red and hot and that to me indicates a high level of histimine is being produced in the body as a reaction to the "foreign" substance (msg) that your body is unable to process (much like an allergic reaction). Here is a link with a list of herbs that have a natural anti-histimine in them (Nettles is one good one which you can take by tincture or drink as a tea).

Is the taurine in a pill, capsule or powder form? what about the creatine?...any fillers that might be bothering you?

Magnesium has saved me from the brink of death about 3 times now! A big arrhythmia attack will start, so I take 500-100mg of the stuff and I feel great within 15 minutes. Usually about 8 minutes though. I don't know how it works so fast! I guess usually because it's morning and I haven't eaten anything yet.

I react to all free Aminos...yes, to Taurine.
Benadryl sometimes takes the edge of the reaction, other times it makes me feel worse from the drying affect.
Sometimes baking soda in water will help.
Sodium is an anti-histamine.

I react to all forms of Magnesium and to all forms of Calcium.
